HISTORY & LEGACY

When did Let's Go Aero first begin business?

Lets Go Aero first began business with the invention of the GearWagon AT “Herman®” Sport Performance Trailer in 1998.  The GearWagon was a light, enclosed trailer with capacity for five bicycles among more gear, and one that could be pulled with a Volkswagen Rabbit, something that simply did not exist at the time. This organic ingenuity and authenticity is a driving force at LGA.

LGA use to sell large enclosed trailers called the Herman and GearWagon; have those trailer models been discontinued?
Due to the solid bodies of the GearWagon/Herman trailers, distribution and shipping of these large trailers is simply not economical in large scale at this time. LGA hopes to bring these trailers back in the future with a redesigned distribution model.

Where is Let's Go Aero's headquarters located?
Labeled as an Innovative Colorado Lifestyle company, Let's Go Aero is proud to say it was founded in the shadow of Pike Peak in Colorado Springs, CO, where it has been headquartered sense 1998.

The BikeWing-T4 requires a Class II minimum rating and a 2in Hitch Receiver.

I've noticed the warranty from other bicycle carrier companies is limited lifetime, where the BikeWing is only a one year warranty. Can you tell me why such a short warranty?
We extend a one year because any manufacturing defect is evident early on. From there, it’s just wear and tear that eventually happens to products. While our V-Racks were invented decades ago, we brought them to market about 5 years ago. We’ve rarely heard from anyone. The new 2017 BikeWing line is our best model ever, improving upon all that we have learned.

Do you offer replacements for the BikeWing should I lose or damage any parts?
We have replacement parts available for sale in the event of loss, and for any warranty exception.

As the GearCage can be mounted on either the front or the back of the GearCage Carrier, installed clearance may be affected when the Rack-It installed in the front of the carrier (closest to the vehicle). LGA recommends installing the RACK-IT on the rear of the GearCage when used in conjunction with spare tires and ladder racks to avoid clearance concerns.

If you are mounting two Rack-It Carrier (one on each side), or your situation requires the Rack-IT to be installed on the front of the GearCage (towards the vehicle) then a 7" Extension Shank would be recommended to help clear rear vehicle accessories.

Silent Towing Products

Silent Hitch Pin

I've lost the keys to my locking Silent Hitch Pin, do you have replacement keys?
Let's Go Aero does not supply or stock replacement keys for the Silent Hitch Pins.

How can I tell which Silent Hitch Pin I should be using for my vehicle?
The Silent Hitch Pin is produced in three (3) different sizes, 1.25in, 2in and 2.5in corresponding to standard hitch receiver sizes. Customers should measure the height & width of the inside of the their hollow hitch receiver to determine which size hitch receiver is installed on their vehicle. In some cases a 2.5in Silent Hitch Pin is required for vehicles with 2in hitch receivers that have thick hitch receiver side walls.

Can I use the Silent Hitch Pin for drop hitch dingy towing (tow behind vehicle)?
No, the Silent Hitch Pin line is not recommended for Hitch Dingy towing or vehicle towing behind a Motor home/RV.

What material is the Silent Hitch Pin made of?
The Silent Hitch Pin is made of super durable chrome with hot dip zinc finishes that natural lubricates the Silent Hitch Pins' threads and provides anti-corrosion protection.

If I change vehicles is the Silent Hitch Pin transferable?
Yes, the Silent Hitch PIn and Spring Nut assembly are quickly and easily transferred to vehicles of the same hitch receiver size.

The listing says the Silent Hitch Pin can remove the noise and motion from hitch, how does that work?
The patented technology of the Silent Hitch Pin removes distracting noise and motion by adding compression to the interior of the hitch receiver using a Spring Nut coil threaded for a lock-tight connection to the Silent Hitch Pin ultimately removing all excess space leaving no room for noise causing friction.

What is the difference between the Silent ACT and the Silent Hitch Pin?
The Silent ACT is adaptable for 1.25in, 2in and 2.5in hitch receivers for use with hitch receiver accessories and includes a handy "No-Tool" Handle. While the Silent ACT is not rated for towing, the Silent Hitch Pin line is rated for up to Class IV towing but does require some tools for installation. The Silent Hitch Pin line is not adaptable to different hitch sizes and can only be purchased individually for one hitch size.

Silent ACT

What size hitch is required for the Silent ACT?
The Silent ACT is adaptable for all standard hitch sizes 1.25in, 2in and 2.5in.

Can I use the Silent ACT for towing?
No, the Silent ACT is not approved towing of any kind. The Silent ACT is only for use with hitch receiver accessories such as cargo carriers and bicycle hitch racks.

I've lost the keys to my locking Silent ACT, do you have replacement keys?
Let's Go Aero does not supply or stock replacement keys for the Silent ACT.

What material is the Silent ACT made of?
The Silent ACT is made from 10/20 cold rolled steel that is chrome coated with stainless steel.

If I change vehicle is the Silent ACT transferable?
Yes, the Silent ACT can be used and easily transfered to any vehicle with a 1.25in, 2in or 2.5in hitch receiver.

The listing says the Silent ACT can remove the noise and motion from hitch, how does that work?
The patented technology of the Silent ACT removes distracting noise and motion by adding compression to the interior of the hitch receiver using a Spring Nut coil threaded for a lock-tight connection to the Silent ACT ultimately removing all excess space leaving no room for noise causing friction.

I bought the bicycle rack for a 2” receiver, and it came with the SilentACT stabilizing device.  But, the 1.25” hitch adaptor includes a welded threaded piece inside the tube which doesn’t allow me to put the SilentACT piece into the hollow receiver tube (it isn’t hollow). What is going on?
The Silent ACT pin is threaded the same as the threaded bushing in the V2, so when using it with the V2 or BikeWing-2, the spring nut is not needed inside the shank. For 1.25” hitches, the two white plastic bushings are needed for the correct threading offset on the pin, and for 2” use with the bike rack adapter, only the Stainless washer and red washer are used on the pin shoulder.
